The vision is birthed out of my own life. As a young child molded by many years of bullying, I found that my life will never be what the world communicates as "normal." Because of this reality, I was afraid to talk about my struggles, to admit addiction, to truly be known by friends and even family.

As an adult still finding out countless things about myself, I believe that God has a more freeing life for me. But it isn't just for me - it's for us.

My favorite verse is Romans 12:2 (NLT):

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

"Let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think!" Man, I love that. God is the one who changes us. Jesus saved us so that our hope doesn't have to be in things of this world.

Life is not going to be absent of pain and suffering, but it can be a little more hopeful. That's my mission! To help fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, to persevere through their trails, not give up, and experience a real life! The life that only comes from trusting in the God of comfort through our Lord, Jesus Christ.
